Carob Honey | Μέλι Χαρουπιού

Carob honey is a rare, dark, mono-floral honey harvested in autumn from the nectar of carob tree blossoms (and occasionally honeydew from their pods).
It is characterized by a chocolate-like flavor with notes of malt, caramel, and a slight bitter aftertaste, and it crystallizes quickly into a dense, creamy texture.

Rich in phosphorus, sodium, iron, calcium, and antioxidants, with a lower caloric value than chocolate.

Traditionally used to support digestion, relieve anxiety and insomnia, and aid in treating respiratory issues like colds and bronchitis due to its antibacterial properties.
